Considering the importance of publication for both institutions and private lecturers, the Faculty of Geography held an offline scientific article writing clinic at Amrani Syariah Hotel, Tuesday (15/06) afternoon. Present as a speaker was Jumadi, PhD. “Publication is very important. For institutions, it will be considered for accreditation,” explained Jumadi, PhD who is also a lecturer in Geography at UMS. Jumadi stressed to lecturers in Geography to pay attention to the Metrics Journal. According to him, the higher the reputation of the journal, the higher the demand for contributions and the deeper the analysis that must be made. Not only that, Jumadi also advised to avoid plagiarism. “There are two kinds of plagiarism. Plagiarism is intentional and unintentional. You need to be careful,” he concluded.
