Goals and Achievement Strategies

The target of the Geography Study Program is to meet the needs of professional area analysis personnel and master the use of PJ and GIS. The indicators for achieving these targets are:

1. Students graduate on time (4 years) at least 10%.
2. Graduates working in relevant fields with a minimum waiting time of 1 year of 40%, and working as entrepreneurs (creating jobs) in the first year of at least 5%.
3. Graduates have an English Proficiency Test = 450 at least 50%.
4. Graduates can apply office packages, Remote Sensing applications and Geographic Information Systems.
5. Graduates have GPA 3.00 minimum 65%.
6. Graduates have an AIK (Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan) = b at least 90%.
7. Lecturers conduct research and community service = 1 time in 1 year at least 50%.
8. Lecturers conduct scientific publications in accredited media = 2 times in 1 year at least 25%.
9. Lecturers with a minimum of 30% education S3 (Doctoral) within 4 years (starting 2013)
10. Become a reference for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System training for Geography MGMP in the Central Java region at least 50% within 4 years (starting 2013)
11. Known by high school and equivalent schools in Central Java 90%
12. Academic administration services that are effective-efficient, accurate, fast, careful and polite
13. The formation of a conducive and constructive academic atmosphere for learning and academic pulpit
14. Accreditation with A predicate
15. Establishing a network with stakeholders as a place for apprenticeship and feedback
16. The profile of the Faculty of Geography and the activities of the academic community are widely known both regionally, nationally and internationally
17. The formation of an alumni network

The strategies to achieve these goals are:

  1. Benchmarking to similar study programs through comparative studies to find out the advantages of other study programs and the achievement strategies used.
  2. Conduct a self-evaluation to determine the baseline for achieving targets based on the indicators above and identify weaknesses.
  3. Prepare a 4-year development plan through the 2010/2014 Study Program Strengthening Plan to improve indicators that are deemed weak.

The development of study programs is focused on strengthening the tri dharma activities of higher education on a local, national, regional, international scale and providing the resources needed for the implementation of the teaching and learning process.
