Thursday (1/4) afternoon, the Faculty of Geography held a mini seminar with the theme “OBE Curriculum and the Geographer’s Profession”. Presenting a keynote speaker from the Head of the Geospatial Information Agency, Prof. Dr. rer. nat Muh Aris Marfai, S.Si., M.Sc. Also present on this occasion the Deputy of BIG. This activity takes place offline and online. Offline located in the BPH Meeting Room, Siti Walidah Main Building, online via Zoom Meeting which was attended by UMS Geography students. This activity is the initial stage of a series of curriculum development for the Faculty of Geography. In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Geography, Drs. Yuli Priyana, M.Si hopes that this activity can produce an up to date curriculum design. “Hopefully this activity will produce a new curriculum design that is up to date and attractive to the market,” said Yuli Priyana who is also an alumni of Geography UMS. Prof. Aris Marfai said that learning using the OBE (Outcome-Based Education) curriculum emphasizes achievements that meet the aspects of knowledge, skills and attitudes according to social, economic, and academic cultural conditions.
