Devotion, said Prof. Muhtadi, is one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education that should be carried out by every lecturer. In fact, he continued, as lecturers at Muhammadiyah Higher Education, our obligation has increased to become Catur Dharma, namely preaching. “Well, so that we can get blessings from the salary we get, we should carry out all of our obligations first. Including doing service,” explained Prof. Muhtadi who is also a lecturer in Pharmacy at UMS. According to him, to be able to do service, there must first be a problem. “The key to service is in the problem. It doesn’t have to be related to the competence of our scientific discipline first. Competence can be number two,” explained Prof. Muhtadi. The Merdeka Campus Program created by the current Minister of Education, said Prof. Muhtadi, provides many opportunities for service. He gave examples including the Village Project, Teaching Campus, Entrepreneurship, and Humanity Project.
