Scientific Discussion Lecturer of Geography Discusses Regional Typology

The Faculty of Geography discussed Lecturer Scientific Discussions with the theme “Typology of Regency/City Areas Based on Physical, Social, and Economic Aspects” on Tuesday (15/06). As a trigger for discussion, M. Iqbal Taufiqurrahman Sunariya, S.Si, M.Sc, MURP concentrated on regional planning. In the research he delivered at the Amrani Syariah Hotel, M. Iqbal said that there are still areas in the city of Solo that can be categorized as urban-rural. Namely Kadipiro, Manahan, Jebres, Kepatihan Wetan, Pucangsawit, and Karangasem. The specifications for the rural-urban area are described as follows: Kadipiro : Population density criteria 3 (5022 people/km2), growth rate criteria 1 (-0.44%) Manahan: Percentage of built up land for criteria 3 (69%), percentage of agricultural land for criteria 3 (33%), Population density for criteria 3 (7141), growth rate for criteria 2 (2.51%) Jebres: Percentage of built up land for criteria 3 (69%), percentage of agricultural land for criteria 3 (28%), growth rate for criteria 2 (1.21%) Kepatihan Wetan: Population density criteria 3 (6610 people/km2), growth rate criteria 2 (0.31%) Pucang Sawit: Percentage of built up land for criteria 3 (69%), percentage of agricultural land for criteria 3 (29%), growth rate for criteria 2 (1.21%) Karangasem: Percentage of built up land for criteria 3 (68%), percentage of agricultural land for criteria 3 (31%), population density for criteria 3 (5342 people/km2), growth rate for criteria 2 (1.9%) According to M Iqbal, the difficulty he encountered in the research was that the data was not the same in each region.
