The Faculty of Geography at UMS held a breaking of the fast event at RM Rasa Mirasa on Wednesday (29/3). Along with the event, a new lecturer, DR Rohman Hakim, who is an alumnus of UMS Geography and an emeritus lecturer at the Faculty of Geography at UMS, was also introduced.
Before the breaking of the fast event, Pujiono, MM, the chairman of KAGUMS for the 2022-2027 period, delivered a sermon that provided motivation and inspiration for the participants to perform religious duties and increase their good deeds during the holy month of Ramadan.
Following that, the event proceeded with the introduction of DR Rohman Hakim as the new emeritus lecturer at the Faculty of Geography at UMS. DR Rohman Hakim introduced himself and provided inspiration and motivation to the participants who were present.
The breaking of the fast event then began, where the participants enjoyed the food provided while conversing and sharing experiences with one another. The event successfully created a warm and friendly atmosphere among all participants.
Jumadi, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., the Dean of the Faculty of Geography at UMS, expressed his happiness about the event’s success. He hopes that events like this can continue to be held to strengthen ties and increase togetherness among the entire extended family of the Faculty of Geography at UMS.
