Thursday (5/12) Faculty of Geography held a Public Lecture with Dr. Mohd Hairy Ibrahim from UPSI Malaysia. Located at the Pramesthi Kartasura Hotel Sukoharjo, this public lecture raised the theme Urban Climate Challenges, Mitigation, and Urban Community Sustainability. Attended by around 250 students from various generations, Dr. Mohd Hairy Ibrahim explained the challenges ahead regarding urban climate and urban community. Furthermore, Hairy added, with climate change, the most important thing is how we can increase awareness and change our habits to be more eco-friendly. In addition, our efforts can include the construction of urban forestry and urban parks. Hairy hopes that there will be a joint activity involving students, lecturers, and the community as a follow-up to this activity. (*) For presentation materials Dr. Mohd.
