Lecturer of Geography Study Program, Drs. Yuli Priyana, M.Si and Dra. Alif Noor Anna, M.Si has published a textbook with the title “Watershed Management Based on Geography Perspective Disaster”. The book is the output of a multi-year research grant from Dikti. This book discusses disasters caused by weather and climate factors and their management efforts. The types of disasters discussed in this book include: floods, landslides, critical lands, and droughts. Meanwhile, a geographer views that disasters that occur from one region to another will have different characters in terms of causes, intensity of events, and impacts, so that the management efforts will also be different. This book is also the result of the development of the Climatology and Meteorology Course. Sources for the preparation of this book come from various kinds of literature such as the results of research conducted in the Upper and Central Solo watersheds, textbooks on climatology and meteorology, disaster management textbooks, research journals, disaster event data obtained from government agencies (BNPB, BAPPEDA, BIG ) and scientific articles contained in the proceedings.
