The Faculty of Geography at UMS has acquired new and advanced tools to improve the quality of education and research in the field of geography. The new equipment includes a Total Station R20 and a GPS Geodetic GNSS Stonex S850a, both procured from PT Oseanland Survei Indonesia in September 2022.
This procurement is part of a sustainability initiative to ensure that researchers and students have excellent access to tools that support the effective exploration and management of land resources. The Total Station R20 is known for its high accuracy, while the GPS Geodetic GNSS Stonex S850a offers advanced satellite navigation technology for field research in geography.
These tools received calibration certification in February 2023, confirming that they meet all operational and technical standards for use in Indonesia. This certification is crucial for ensuring accurate assessment results, which are essential in geographical field research.
With these new tools, the Land Resources Laboratory at the Faculty of Geography, UMS, not only enhances its research and educational capacity but also significantly contributes to the development of geographical research in Indonesia. The Faculty of Geography at UMS remains committed to providing excellent resources for students and researchers to achieve academic excellence and foster innovation.
