The background for this activity is that Ministerial Regulation no. 44 of 2015 mandates universities in terms of research and community service [PkM]. Research and community service (PKM) produce creations and innovations that are expected not only to stop at research results, but also to the publication and commercialization stage. Research and PkM are efforts to realize self-exploration. This process can improve the quality of researchers themselves, the findings of researchers also bring benefits to the community. Of course, existing research results require a forum for dissemination, external discussion, communication and research findings.

University Research Colloquium (URECOL) is a forum that functions to facilitate the dissemination of research results and community service. URECOL for the sixth time was held to provide opportunities for researchers to conduct scientific publications. This was initiated by the University of Muhammadiyah Magelang through a consortium of Muhammadiyah Universities. URECOL is a national seminar forum that provides space for dissemination, discussion, and getting more useful follow-up on research outcomes. The complete address of the website or the official website of the seminar is http://urecol.ummgl.ac.id/site/
