In 2017, the academic community of the Faculty of Geography will participate in the National MIPATEK (Mathematics, Science, and Technology) activities at the PGRI Pontianak Teacher Training and Education Institute. The Faculty of Geography, UMS, sent 4 teams with 3 titles of papers to participate in the activity. The UMS Geography lecturer team who participated in the activity included (Drs. Priyono, M. Si.), (Drs. Yuli Priyana, M. Si.), (Dra. Umrotun, M. Si.), (Dr. Ir. Imam hardjono, M. Si.), (Drs. Munawar Cholil, M. Si.), and (Agus Anggoro Sigit, S. Si., M. Sc.).
