The activity was carried out at the M Djazman UMS Auditorium. This workshop activity took the theme “Workshop on Geospatial Technology and Scientific Writing”. The objectives of this activity include (1) to introduce teachers to the use of geospatial technology for learning geography in SMA/MA, (2) to improve the ability of teachers to write scientific papers, (3) to improve the ability of teachers to conduct classroom action research, and ( 4) increase the network of cooperation between the Geography Faculty of UMS and the Geography MGMP of SMA/MA in Solo Raya and its surroundings.
This activity was attended by 118 participants from Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Klaten, Sragen, Karanganyar, Wonogiri, and Salatiga City. This activity is also interspersed with exhibitions and demonstrations of the latest geography laboratory equipment, so as to make participants more motivated to improve learning in their respective high schools.
