Surakarta (27/07), Faculty of Geography Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta held the 10th National Seminar on Geography (SNG). Located in the Ballroom of the Solo Syariah Hotel, the annual seminar carries the theme “Sustainable Regional Development in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0” Regional development in this era, according to Aris Marfai, has the impact of changing environmental aspects with the efficient use of natural resources, early detection of environmental damage, more detailed and precise regional development planning. “In this 4.0 era, there are also many new jobs that are informal, casual, and do not follow strict traditions,” said the Dean of the UGM Faculty of Geography. Apart from Aris Marfai, Ahmad Rifai was also present as a keynote speaker.
