UMS Geography Lecturer Joins PIT-IGI XXI

Saturday-Monday (7-9/09), four lecturers of Geography Study Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta took part in PIT-IGI XXI. Held at Padang State University, PIT-IGI XXI which is also a part of the International Conference of Geography (ICGeo) with the theme Geography Science & Education for Industry 4.0. Present as keynote speakers were Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya Bakar, M.Sc (Minister of Environment and Forestry) and Prof. Ganefri, P.hD (Rector of UNP). In addition, invited speakers were also present, including Dr. Anna Villa Concejo (University of Sidney), Prof. Dr. rer. Nat Muh Aris Marfai, M.Sc (Gadjah Mada University), Dr. Masimo Lapascu (National University of Singapore (NUS)), Prof. Dr. Hartono, DEA, DESS (Chairman of the Indonesian Geography Association), Dr. Mohammad Zohir Bin Ahmad (University Sains Malaysia (USM)), Syamsul Bachri, S.Si, M.Sc, P.hD (Malang State University), Dr. Genius Umar, S.Sos, M.Si (Mayor of Pariaman), and Prof. Dr. Rizaldi Boer (Bogor Agricultural Institute).

The purpose of this conference is to bring together scholars, students, and administrators from various countries to discuss theoretical and practical issues in coastal management, land use change, climate change, Geological Hazard Mitigation & Hydrometeorological Hazards, and Geospatial Technology-Based Geography Education. Accepted drafts will be published and indexed by Scopus and Microsoft Search Academics.
