Faculty of Geography Holds Public Lecture

Monday (13/06) Faculty of Geography UMS held a two-session public lecture. In the morning session, the public lecture presented Muhammad Kamal, M.GIS, Ph.D. as the speaker. While in the afternoon session, there were two speakers from abroad, namely Miyata Shusuke, Ph.D and Dr. Arief Gusnanto. Activities are carried out in a hybrid manner.

In the morning session, the public lecture took place in the LPPM Classroom 01-03 Building I 1st Floor, Faculty of Geography, while in the afternoon session it was held via Zoom Meeting. The General Lecture was attended by students and the general public with a total of approximately 220 participants.

On that occasion, Muhammad Kamal explained about the material with the theme “Opportunities and Challenges of Remote Sensing in the Era of Globalization”. In addition, Muhammad Kamal who is also the Deputy Dean for Education, Teaching, and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Geography UGM, gave an explanation about the postgraduate program at the Faculty of Geography UGM. Two other speakers, namely Miyata Shusuke and Arief Gusnanto, provided material related to Hydrological Processes Associated with Sediment Related Disasters and Geography, Statistics, and Industry 4.0
