Wednesday (29/6) afternoon, the Faculty of Geography, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) announced the winners of the Geography TikTok Video Challenge via Zoom. First place winner won by Adinda Nur Chasanah from SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. While the second and third place winners were Ari Kurniawan (SMK Kesatrian Purwokerto) and Dhanu Tri Saputra (SMK Negeri 1 Karawang Barat). In addition, there is also the Favorite Champion category with 12K views, obtained by Daffa Akhadi Yoga Perdana (SMA Negeri 1 Polanharjo).
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Committee M Iqbal Taufiqurrahman Sunariya, M.Sc., M.URP was proud of the achievements that have been achieved by high school/MA/equivalent students. “We from the committee congratulate the achievements. The work that has been made is very creative. Good luck,” said M Iqbal who is also a Geography lecturer at UMS.
This event, continued M Iqbal, was also a form of promotion and introduction to the UMS Faculty of Geography. “Hopefully, with this competition, students will know more about geography,” added M Iqbal.
The winners received awards: money and e-Certificates. The nominal coaching fee for the 1st place winner is IDR 1,000,000. Meanwhile, for 2nd place, 3rd place, and favorite winners, it is IDR 750,000, -, IDR 500,000, -, and IDR 250,000, -. All participants also received Save The Earth t-shirt.
