Dr. Aditya Saputra, a lecturer at the Faculty of Geography, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), has been appointed as a Research Fellow at Kobe University, Japan, for the period of April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. This appointment is part of the international academic collaboration between UMS and Kobe University, aimed at strengthening global research, particularly in the field of geography.
During his research fellowship, Dr. Aditya will be affiliated with the Graduate School of Maritime Science at Kobe University. His research will focus on the application of geospatial technology in environmental and maritime studies.
“This opportunity brings significant benefits to the Faculty of Geography at UMS by expanding international research collaborations and contributing to the advancement of global knowledge,” said Dr. Aditya, who also serves as Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Aditya is an active academic specializing in remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS). His appointment as a Research Fellow is a recognition of his dedication and contributions to academic and research excellence.
