Thursday (31/03), Faculty of Geography held a public lecture with the theme “Understanding the Study of Political Geography”. Through the zoom meeting room, this public lecture presented Arizka Warganegara, Ph.D as a speaker.
According to Arizka, in understanding the study of Political Geography, we must pay attention to the intersection of two scientific fields. “Discussing the study of Political Geography means that we discuss the intersection of the field of Geography and the field of Politics,” said Arizka who is a lecturer at the University of Lampung.
Arizka gave an example during the current Covid-19 pandemic situation. The policies taken by the government to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic must of course also pay attention to the conditions of Political Geography. For example, which vaccine model is chosen by the government, PPKM level, and so on. “Everything is political,” said Arizka.
